When does FUBAR Season 2 start filming?

Now! Arnold Schwarzenegger promises that Season 2 will be BIG, and he’s got the action figure to prove it. In honor of starting production on Season 2, FUBAR broke a Guinness World Record by building the biggest action figure in the world. A regular Luke Brunner action figure stands at 5.52 inches. This guy? He stands at 265.7 inches, or 22.14 feet. “And next season’s action figure will be twice as big,” says Schwarzenegger in the video above. “Season 2 is coming — enjoy it.”

What is FUBAR Season 2 about?

Luke Brunner (Schwarzenegger) is a veteran CIA operative who, up until recently, was on the verge of retirement. After his last mission in saving another operative — who just so happened to be his daughter Emma (Monica Barbaro) — he’s back and face-to-face with new villains. This one is an old flame from Luke’s past who threatens to destroy the world … if she doesn’t destroy his life first.

FUBAR Season 2 will span eight, 60-minute episodes.

Carrie-Anne Moss

Who is in the FUBAR Season 2 cast?

Alongside Schwarzenegger and Barbaro as FUBAR’s father-daughter spy duo, Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix, The Acolyte) joins the cast as Greta Nelso, a former East German spy who has a passionate history with Luke.

Returning cast from FUBAR Season 1 include Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Jay Baruchel, Aparna Brielle, Andy Buckley, Milan Carter, Fabiana Udenio, and Barbara Eve Harris.

How did FUBAR Season 1 end?

Santora teased that the extended Brunner family will have “a million things they’re going to have to deal with” in a second season, like analyst Tina (Brielle) secretly working undercover. “In Season 2, we’re going to go in knowing there might be a rat in the kitchen. And what are they going to do about that?”

Not to mention that Luke and all his fellow agents’ identities — including his daughter Emma’s (Barbaro) — have been exposed. Basically, “they’re in deep dog doo-doo, for sure. They’re in trouble.”

Who is the creative team behind FUBAR?

Santora serves as creator, showrunner, and executive producer. Schwarzenegger stars and executive produces FUBAR. Adam Higgs, Scott Sullivan, Phil Abraham, Amy Pocha, Seth Cohen with Skydance Television’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell also executive produce.

Where can I watch FUBAR Season 1 bloopers?

Even in the midst of fending off bad guys and healing the wounds of family trauma, the Brunners and their tribe of agents still know how to have fun along the way — and are definitely in for some more in Season 2. After all, who says an explosion can’t be funny? Certainly not the FUBAR cast, who were cracking up throughout the five-month shoot of the spy-centric action-comedy’s first season.

See the FUBAR cast sustain the levity throughout the day with the Season 1 blooper reel above.

Netflix’s Chief Action Officer leads a lean, mean team of undercover agents in the series that, in addition to Barbaro and Brielle, includes Carter (Barry), Feimster (Roo), and Van Winkle (Aldon). They spend most of the season facing off against Gabriel Luna’s enemy of the public, Boro. “Sometimes Arnold would start the day with an improv line, just to start off with a joke, and he would just set the levity for the day,” says Carter.

“You think he’s this muscular, governor, serious man. But really, Arnold just has jokes for days,” says Carter. “He would have us all breaking all at random times because he would throw out these lines that you would never expect.”

The cast would also take turns repeating back Schwarzenegger’s Austrian accent to him, “every day, all day,” per Feimster. Adds Van Winkle, “We can’t help it. It’s just par for the course.”

Van Winkle recalls how one day in the CIA jet on set, “we were all just trying to perfect his accent and doing a terrible job at it. But he’s sitting there, almost critiquing us and he doesn’t get offended by it. I think he actually appreciates it.”

But as for who the Governator himself thinks had the most FUBAR takes? “That’s probably Fortune, because she just keeps going,” Schwarzenegger tells Tudum. “She just spills out. She’s just funny. I think that actually everything can be used, but they stayed with the script. She is just hilarious.”

Meanwhile, Feimster would bet her money on Barbaro. Why? Because “she had so much to learn,” she says. “She and Arnold both had the lion’s share of the lines, so she was constantly having to memorize, memorize, memorize. She would be like, ‘Ugh, sorry.’ She was such a perfectionist. We’d be like, ‘Girl, it’s fine. We’re all going to have those moments.’ ”

The real crown jewel, though, came in getting Schwarzenegger himself to crack a grin. “If you get Arnold to smirk, that’s a victory right there,” Carter says. “He’ll sit there, stone-cold staring at you, make you think it’s not funny. You get that smirk? Success.”

As Van Winkle says, “Day made.”

Go ahead and make your day by watching FUBAR and get ready to “try this $#!%” again” in Season 2.
