วันที่ 11 พ.ค. 67 จากกรณีที่ เยอร์เกน คลอปป์ มีใบเหลืองติดตัวอยู่แล้ว 2 ใบ (เกมกับเบิร์นลีย์ และลูตัน) ถ้าได้เพิ่มอีก 1 ใบ เกมรองสุดท้ายในลีก ที่จะพบ แอสตัน วิลลา คืนวันจันทร์ที่ 13 พฤษภาคมนี้ เขาจะโดนโทษแบน 1 นัดทันที อดคุมทีมข้างสนามเกมสุดท้ายของเขา ในการคุมทัพ “หงส์แดง”
ล่าสุด เยอร์เกน คลอปป์ ผู้จัดการทีมลิเวอร์พูล ให้สัมภาษณ์ในการแถลงข่าวก่อนเกมพรีเมียร์ลีก อังกฤษ ไปเยือน แอสตัน วิลลา โดยเขายืนยันว่าจะทำตัวให้ดี และจะนั่งทับมือตัวเอง พยายามไม่พาตัวเองเข้าไปยุ่งเกี่ยวกับการโต้เถียงใดๆ ที่อาจทำให้เขาประสบปัญหา
เยอร์เกน คลอปป์ กล่าวว่า “ผมรู้เรื่องนี้มานานแล้ว ผมโดนใบเหลืองไปแค่ 2 ใบ เห็นได้ชัดว่าผมใจเย็นขึ้นในช่วงหลายปีที่ผ่านมา”
“ผมไม่จำเป็นต้อง (อยู่ข้างสนามในเกมกับวูล์ฟส์) แต่มันคงจะเจ๋งถ้าผมทำแบบนั้นได้ เอาเป็นว่าผมจะพยายามอย่างเต็มที่ที่จะไม่เข้าไปยุ่งเกี่ยวกับการโต้เถียงใดๆ ทั้งสิ้น”
