Riot Erupts as Homelander and Butcher Go Head-to-Head in Jaw-Dropping Showdown — The Boys Season 4 Posters Ignite Fan Frenzy!

Homelander and Butcher face off in the midst of a riot in two new posters for season 4 of The Boys. Based on the comic book of the same name, Prime Video’s satirical series follows the titular vigilante team, lead by Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), as they fight the corrupt superhero team known as the Seven, led by Homelander (Antony Starr). The Boys’ cast and characters include Jack Quaid as Hughie Campbell and Erin Moriarty as Starlight.

Now, ahead of The Boys season 4 release date on June 13, the official Twitter/X account for The Boys shared two new posters showing Homelander and Butcher facing off in the middle of a riot. Check out the posters below:

Separately, the posters show Homelander standing deviously in front of an army of men in riot gear, one of whom Butcher is punching while leaping into battle. Behind Butcher are the members of The Boys, including Starlight, Hughie, Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara), and Frenchie (Tomer Capone). Jeffrey Dean Morgan is also pictured on this poster, suggesting that his undisclosed character will be part of the titular team in season 4. On Twitter/X, the posters are captioned, “Rainbows and fuckin butterflies on the horizon” and “More chaos coming, and it ain’t the controlled kind.”

A New Trailer Should Be Coming Soon

The Boys season 3 ending solidified Secretary of Defense Robert Singer and his running mate Victoria Neuman’s path to the presidency after The Deep murders their rival. Meanwhile, attending a rally for Neuman, Homelander murders a Starlight supporter, which surprisingly pleases the crowd, and is expected to make him much more dangerous in season 4. Based on the posters, it looks like the theme of political violence will continue, as it appears to be a protest that turns into a riot.

Also indicated by the poster, Starlight will be working with The Boys on a full-time basis after leaving the Seven and Vought for good. Butcher also continues to have superpowers after taking Temp-V. However, he only has 12–18 months after taking too many doses of the serum and developing brain tumors. In season 4, The Boys’ primary target will be Neuman considering her clear path to the vice presidency. However, as indicated by the posters, they will still have the sadistic Homelander to deal with.

The Boys season 4 teaser trailer was released in December 2023. Now, with the two posters being released, a new trailer should be coming very soon. When it arrives, expect to see more of the conflict between The Boys and Homelander, but also new characters like Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s.
