Anne Hathaway rocked a sheer black bustier top on Monday while promoting her new romantic comedy on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on NBC.
The 41-year-old Oscar-winning actress completed her outfit with matching loose black trousers and had her black hair pulled back into a ponytail.
Anne wore black open-toed heels and accessorized with a silver necklace while chatting with Jimmy, 49, about her upcoming film The Idea Of You.
She explained that the movie was about Solène Marchand, a 40-year-old mother and gallery owner who lives in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles. She unexpectedly meets Hayes Campbell [Nicholas Galitzine], the leader of the biggest boy band in the world, while taking her daughter to Coachella.
‘The story is about how they fall in love,’ said Anne, who also is a co-producer of the film along with Gabrielle Union, 51.

Jimmy asked Anne if she knew when she saw English actor Nick, 29, that he would be perfect for the part.
‘He walked in and I just knew that’s Hayes Campbell,’ Anne said. ‘That was almost two years ago and now Nick and I have become really good friends. Yeah, it’s opened up in the most beautiful way.’
Jimmy played a clip of Anne and Nick from the movie that showed their on-screen chemistry.
Jimmy earlier said he saw Anne in Shakespeare in the Park and asked her if she got nervous performing on stage. Anne told a story how every night during that show how she had tried to make one line funny while performing in an outdoor theater.
‘One night I went out there and I said the line and just the house went down,’ Anne said. ‘I was like, ”Oh I found it, this is such a good feeling” and then of course I leaned into it because of course you do. The audience is losing their minds. I look into the wings, the cast is losing their minds, I’m high fiving myself in my head. I was like ”I’ve arrived. This is happening.” And I get off stage and they go, ”Did you see the raccoons?”
‘They said, ”behind you as soon as you came on stage a family of raccoons came out, they were so cute!’,” Anne said. ‘Actually high five to the raccoons.’
Anne also played a fun reverse charade game with Jimmy against Melanie Lynskey and The Roots leader Tariq Trotter trying to act out words with one partner not able to use their hands.
The Princess Diaries star also attended the star-studded premiere of The Idea of You at the Lincoln Center in New York City on Monday looking red hot in a strapless corset-style gown with a W-style neckline and a 𝑠e𝑥y thigh-high slit.

Paired with the gorgeous garment, which also featured satin, corset-inspired piping to highlight her curves, she wore a pair of crimson-colored, suede pumps.
Anne recently shared in a new profile in the New York Times that she was marking five years without alcohol.
She gushed that the accomplishment felt like a ‘milestone’ to her, and she added that being ‘forty feels like a gift.’
While giving an update to the Times in her new profile, Anne sounded somewhat conflicted about sharing her good news.
‘There are so many other things I identify as milestones. I don’t normally talk about it, but I am over five years sober,’ she shared, before taking a more optimistic tone.
‘That feels like a milestone to me. Forty feels like a gift,’ she continued.
The Brokeback Mountain actress added that she was hesitant to admit that she was in ‘middle age,’ but only because she was aware of how life can take unexpected turns.
‘The fact of the matter is I hesitate at calling things “middle age” simply because I can be a semantic stickler and I could get hit by a car later today,’ she said on a darker note. ‘We don’t know if this is middle age.

‘We don’t know anything,’ she corrected herself.
Anne’s current domestic bliss comes after she married Adam Shulman, a businessman who also occasionally acts, in 2012.
They have an eight-year-old son and four-year-old son together.
The Idea Of You premiered in March at the South By Southwest festival and will be released on Thursday on Prime Video by Amazon MGM Studios.
