Conor McGregor pours pints and parties with fans as he enjoys final night out before ban

Conor McGregor has quit drinking ahead of his UFC comeback.

The former dual-weight champion will have his first fight in three years when he takes on Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in Las Vegas on June 29.

When he hasn’t got a fight coming up, McGregor is known to love drinking the booze that helped him build an empire worth £200 million.

However, last week he set himself a drinking ban in a bizarre social media message to Justin Bieber, who he has been friends with for several years.

He wrote alongside five pictures of himself with the popstar: “My brother Justin Bieber, the Mac has your back for life!

“From Beverly Hills to the Bahamas! See you in Vegas bro, it’s game on, the Mac is back!

“Five more nights on the delicious and then that be that see ya’s tonight I’M NOT F***NG LEAVING.”

On Monday, he shared footage from his last night out before the booze ban kicks in, with the caption: “An amazing night for Forged Irish Stout at Nanny’s of Duleek! A true Irish pub! The Forge Irish Stout and Proper 12 Irish Whiskey flowing! UP IRELAND.”

McGregor appeared at a launch event for beer in the small County Meath town of Duleek, which has a population of less than 5,000 people.

It seems like most of them descended on local hotspot Nanny’s to catch a glimpse of the UFC legend, who arrived in a bright green Lamborghini with his partner Dee Devlin.

The 35-year-old was mobbed by fans before he even got into the venue where he posed for photos, poured pints, enjoyed a drink, and gave a speech to everyone in attendance.

If he is true to his word, McGregor is done with booze for the foreseeable future.

‘Mystic Mac’ will now enter the serious phase of training with his long-time coach, John Kavanagh, who thinks he will make quick work of Chandler at UFC 303.

A win would put McGregor in line to challenge for several UFC titles, including the BMF title recently acquired by a man he beat during his rise through the ranks, Max Holloway.

Defeat would end of his career as a world-class MMA fighter and leave him without a win since beating Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in January 2020.
