LeBron James’ Heavy Influence on Son Bronny’s Career Is a Lie, Claims 42YO NBA Veteran

Like two peas in a pod! Bronny James is following in his father LeBron James‘ footsteps. Having a famous father helps the 19-year-old. He will need it more now especially since he has declared himself for the NBA draft. However, that doesn’t diminish the importance of his hard work and efforts. Like his father, the 19-year-old is making a name for himself. However, many continue to criticise the father-son duo claiming how James’ career influences Bronny James and perhaps even his debut in the pro league.

His former coach Gilbert Arenas explains that such opinions aren’t true. He further emphasized the young basketball player’s efforts to build his name and career for himself. When people talk about LeBron is pushing the narrative of his son, that is so cap. Bronny is his own business outside of his father’s. Like if he needs information from his father he can get it but Bronny thinks for himself. He’s a businessman too,” ‘Agent Zero’ said during the latest episode of the Gils’ Arena Podcast. Here is a clip that shows Arenas’ claims.

While Bronny James’s underwhelming college performance continues to bother fans, many point out that it is too soon for the USC Trojans star to enter the NBA. Regardless, the Los Angeles Lakers and other teams have shown interest in him. While curious eyes were constantly on him, young James didn’t disappoint. The shooting drill named him the second-best among the other players.

Meanwhile, Bronny James continues to stir the media with his impressive business resume.

Bronny James’ business deals

As Arenas describes earlier in the conversation, young James is quite good at making an impression. He started securing lucrative deals even before joining the USC Trojans. Capitalizing on his fame, he had already signed significant NIL deals. He signed a deal with Nike in 2022.

Another deal was with Beats by Dre, both of which he signed while he was still in high school. He also signed a deal with PSD Underwear. His NIL value has reached an impressive $5.9 million, the highest ever achieved by an NCAA athlete.

LeBron James often asked ‘Agent Zero’ to arrange practice sessions with his sons, so Arenas surely knows a thing or two about Bronny and Bryce James. He even stated Bryce James might be the better of the two. It also seems too soon to judge young Bronny’s future right now. What is your take on this matter?
