Reading the message
Her face became increasingly surprised as she read the message. She couldn’t believe she was receiving messages from her bed. Could this be correct?
The woman who purchased the crib intended to paint it a different color. She claimed to have sanded the old paint, but then she noticed something unusual: someone’s signature. She mistook it for the crib maker’s signature.
Looking for assistance
Shocked by the discovery and unable to find an answer on her own, she posted a photo of the crib on an antique forum in the hopes that others could provide her with any information about the company.
But she received a flood of responses even before she turned off her computer. “That crib is very old!” exclaimed one of the responses. “I’m not sure if it’s expensive or free, but you could find out,” wrote another.
The exact price of what it was worth was yet to be seen.
The buyer’s message went one step further. The following day, she took the crib to an auction house to find out how much it was worth. This discovery piqued her interest.
And it was discovered that this ancient crib was at least 200 years old. A true find for this single mother! She couldn’t believe a crib could last so long.
A mystery
She could only think of a single question. But exactly how much it cost, the appraiser couldn’t estimate either. “It’s a beautiful specimen, but I can’t put a price on it,” she told him.
