On Sunday night, Margot was left crestfallen at the BAFTAs after losing out twice in the Best Supporting Actress category for her roles roles in Bombshell and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

She lost to Laura Dern, 52, who won for her role in Marriage Story, but the Australian actress still got to give an acceptance speech.

Margot accepted the award for Best Supporting Actor on behalf of her Once Upon a Time in Hollywood co-star Brad Pitt, who was absent.

Reading a pre-prepared speech, Margot’s joke about Prince Harry’s move to Canada prompted laughter from Prince William and Kate Middleton in the audience.

‘He says he is going to name this [award] Harry because he is really excited about bringing it back to the States with him. His words not mine,’ she said.
