Tyson Fury bought first car for £60 at 10 years old – now he owns fleet worth millions ahead of Oleksandr Usyk fight

Tyson Fury has used his boxing fortune to buy a fleet of cars.

‘The Gypsy King’ makes millions every time he fights and will do so again when he takes on WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on May 18.

If he wins, Fury may celebrate becoming the first four-belt champion in heavyweight history by adding another luxury vehicle to his unique collection.

However, he’s definitely got enough toys to keep him entertained for a while.

The 35-year-old loves Rolls Royce Phantoms so much he bought two of them, and at £384,000 a pop they are certainly the most expensive cars in his garage.

Fury has also been pictured in several Ferraris, with the most valuable of the bunch retailing for around £170,000.

The WBC heavyweight king’s Porsche Taycan was slightly cheaper at £140,000 and, of course, he’s got a Range Rover as well.

It’s the car of choice for British celebrities but Fury wanted to stand out from the crowd, so he painted his with camo colours.

In keeping with his wacky personality, Fury owns several other cars that you wouldn’t expect to see in the same vicinity as a Rolls Royce, Ferrari, or Porsche.

Fury has previously praised his £20,000 VW Passat as the ‘best car on the road’ despite the fact it is almost two decades old.

The 6ft 9in behemoth bizarrely owns a Mini Cooper he can barely fit in and a Bedford TR193 recovery truck just in case any of his fleet needs to be taken to a mechanic.

Fury’s passion for cars started long before he was allowed to drive.

The boxing legend recently revealed that he bought his first car at the age of 10 and was working as a car dealer before finding success in the squared circle.

“Before I was boxing, I was a car trader,” he said.

“While I’ve been boxing, I’ve been messing around with cars. It’s my hobby. I love a deal, whether it’s for 10p or 10 grand or 10 million, whatever. I love having a deal.

“My first car was a 1997 Fiat Fiorino. I paid £360 for it. That was my first car that I was driving about in. But I actually bought my first car when I was 10.

“It was a Renault Clio and I bought it from three doors down and I sold it for a profit. I bought it for £60 and sold it for £110 on the same day. So, I’ve been buying and selling my whole life.”

He added: “Another lesson I like to do is, in the summertime, we always wash the cars down, maybe every other day.

“I ask the kids why we do it and my little boy will say ‘We wash these because things are hard to earn, dad, and we’ve got to look after our things haven’t we?’ And I say ‘Yep, we have, well done son’.”

When the time comes, he’ll be encouraging his kids to go out and earn the money to buy their first cars rather than getting them whatever they want.

“I want my kids to get their own money, do their own things and be their own people,” Fury explained.

“I don’t believe in just giving all your money to your kids, but it will make them weak, spoilt and not value anything, worthless.

“They’ll end up getting to 35 and never having done anything for themselves, apart from spending dad’s money. They’ll be middle-aged looking in the mirror and being disappointed.

“If I buy my son a Lamborghini as soon as he passes his test, he’ll probably kill himself in it. But he also wouldn’t appreciate it.

“If he works hard and gets himself a 2004 Corsa, he will be outside washing the c*** out every day, hoovering it top to bottom. And I will be proud of him because he has done it himself.
