When Bronny James first saw Stephen Curry, he says he was “star struck.”

When basketball sensation Bronny James met guard Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, he was genuinely speechless. James claimed that when he saw the NBA champion at a game at Los Angeles’ Crypto Arena, he was overcome with stardom.

James claimed he was moved when Curry approached him to say hello. Several athletes are attempting to find a place in the NBA this offseason, including the son of legendary NBA player LeBron James. Along with dozens of other players, Bronny took part in games and running drills at the recent NBA Combine.

Bronny’s performance at the NBA Combine

James had a lot of questions going into the NBA Draft Combine. The youthful basketball player for USC had an unexpected season. James suffered a cardiac-related ailment that kept him out of action for a long while. James was a waste on offense, and the Trojans suffered a losing season. Due to his health, he only played a restricted amount of minutes during his one and only season at USC, finishing with an average of slightly under five points per game.

Some of the doubt appeared to be dispelled by his performance at the NBA combine. Many NBA Draft observers believe that James improved his draft position by the end of the combine. James barely made the Top 100 coming into the combine, but he shot up to no. 58 in the draft rankings, according to ESPN. James is now viewed as a late second-round pick in the NBA draft, and he might be pursued by a number of clubs, including the Warriors.

James’s output this past season makes it unlikely that he will be drafted at all. The Los Angeles Lakers have stated they are interested in acquiring Bronny if it means they can maintain LeBron James, and Bronny’s father, LeBron James, has indicated a desire to play with his son. Lebron attended the combine as well to watch his son.

Warriors season for Stephen Curry

Another place Bronny might end up is with Stephen Curry at Golden State. Though they usually rank among the top teams in the Western Conference of the NBA, the Warriors’ season didn’t go as planned this year. The squad fell to the Sacramento Kings in a play-in game early in the NBA playoffs. Not even a whole series was played by the team. Fans of the Warriors or Curry will not accept that.

Curry produced well again this season. The guard shot 41% from three-point range and scored 26 points on average. He has played for the Warriors for the past 16 years, completing his career at Golden State. It’s fantastic to watch a seasoned player like Curry support a young player who’s trying to make a name for himself in the game. Curry might consider himself to be Bronny’s future mentor should he decide to join the squad.

In Brooklyn, New York, on June 26 and 27, is the NBA Draft. As of this writing, Bronny is not currently listed on draft boards as heading to the Warriors.
